 Made with a very special technique, a real orchid flower is used in a process. This is a unique -one of a kind piece, a new flower is used for each pendant.

Orchids (Orchidaceae family) earned their name from the Greek word orchis, meaning testicle. Their fleshy underground tubers were thought to resemble testicles. I used orchid from my window shelf plant to make the pendant. I am not trying to beautify my jewelry so there might be some irregularities, I see this as a part of the outstanding design of nature.

Lady's mantle- FERTILITY necklace is made of recycled silver. Its a 100% replica of Lady's mantle plant which is native to most of Europe, northwest Asia, northeast USA, and Greenland. In the Middle Ages, Lady's Mantle was dedicated to the Virgin Mary, hence the name ~Lady's Mantle, it has long been a healing herb for women, said to promote fertility, regulate the menstrual cycle and ease menopause. It is said that if a female feels her femininity threatened in any way, then bring a vase of these flowers into the house and the feminine spirit will feel strengthened. Beech tree is an amazing tree but the spread of beech is also a reminder of climate change that has far-reaching effects on our environment, beech trees are flourishing where they couldn’t survive before. As established trees start to lose their foothold in certain areas due to the warming climate, beech trees continue to expand rapidly and changing the forest diversity.
